TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool latest pLUS updates from across Europe

Saturday March 31

Chelsea stun Man Utd

Chelsea believe that can swoop in on Manchester United and Barcelona target Toby Alderweireld.

Alderweireld, 29, is said to be weighing up his options at Tottenham.

The Belgium defender has plenty of suitors and it is said both United and Barca are willing to make moves.

But the Mirror claim Chelsea are in the driving seat to pinch Alderweireld from their London rivals.

Jack Wilshere to leave Arsenal

Jack Wilshere will leave Arsenal this summer when he rejects a new contract offer.

That is according to the Guardian, who claim Arsenal have offered the England intentional an £80,000 ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ deal.

The 26-year-old is said to have caught Everton’s interest in recent weeks.

And with Arsenal also set to dip into the transfer market this summer, Wilshere could find himself out of the Emirates exit door.

Sturridge mega cost

West Brom manager Alan Pardew has defended the loan signing of Liverpool striker Daniel Studding, despite the forward costing £50,000 per minute played since his move in January.

Sturridge, who cost a £3.8m fee, has failed to help turn West Brom’s fortunes around and the Baggies are now set for the drop.

“You’re in a transfer window when Premier League clubs release players because they’ve got injury records or are not in good form,” Pardew said.

“Unfortunately for Daniel, to pull a hamstring is a serious injury and you can’t accelerate that process.

“You’ve got to understand that one of the strikers we were very interested in, which was a buy [Slimani], hasn’t played either. I have to say Daniel has been committed to the club, with the work he’s done and everything else.

“I hope we see him on the pitch because he’s one of the few players in this group who can get a goal from nothing. He’s been a serious loss to the team, if I’m honest.”

Sterling to Real Madrid

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is worried Raheem Sterling will leave for Real Madrid.

Sterling has hit top form in the Premier League this season as City close in on the title.

Real are said to be eyeing the England international, who is yet to start talks with City over a new contract.

“In terms of contracts I’m not the guy, it’s Txiki who’s talking about that,” Guardiola said.

“No doubts, it’s so important that we keep him.

“But you know the deals are the deals. The agents and many circumstances, maybe other clubs are interested in him.

“Anything can happen but he knows how important he is to us.”
