PFA Player of the Year Salah is attracting plenty of interest as a result of his incredible form since joining Liverpool from Roma for around £37million last summer.

According to Spanish publication Diario Gol, a host of clubs have tabled proposals to the Egyptian forward including former club Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Chelsea first signed Salah from FC Basel in 2014 but he failed to win over Jose Mourinho in 19 appearances.

He was sent out on loan to Fiorentina and Roma before sealing a permanent switch to the Italian capital club in 2016.

Salah hit 19 goals in 41 appearances for Roma before heading back to the Premier League with Liverpool last summer.

The Egypt international has scored 43 times in 47 appearances for the Reds, spearheading their bid to reach the Champions League final.

Salah – under contract at Anfield until 2022 – is expected to be offered fresh terms as a reward for his excellent form and Express Sport understands he is set to stick with the club.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is confident that Salah will not leave after one season.

“It’s not a situation I would even think about it,” Klopp said earlier this month. “Around nine months ago he came in to make the next step in his career – and he did it.

To come to Liverpool, he had different options and he wanted to come here.

“If we now always start talking after a year and is it: ‘will he leave?’ or whatever then I don’t think about.

“It was in the German interview and he asked me pretty much the same question. Yes, I’m confident. I don’t think, I know he will be here. That’s all.”

Salah has proved to be a bargain buy for Liverpool but Roma technical director Monchi has claimed UEFA’s Financial Fair Play restrictions forced them to cash in.

“It’s true, I sold Salah, but I was forced by UEFA’s constraints,” he said.

“The explanation is that last summer, we were forced to sell by June 30. If we hadn’t, we wouldn’t be in the Champions League semi-finals.

“Our accounts were under strict UEFA controls, and when I arrived there was an offer of €30m for Salah, but then with bonuses we went up to €50m.”
