WHEN it comes to Wednesday night’s walkthroughs on The Block there’s one thing in all the kitchens that is attracting plenty of negative feedback.

“That is a monumental waste of space,” Shelley Craft declares, while taking in the huge butler’s pantry in Carla and Bianca’s penthouse apartment.

Next door, at Jess and Norm’s the message is the same.

The two couples argue that their pantries provide storage space for the apartments — but noone is listening.

In apartment three it’s the same memo again: “It’s a waste of space”.

Shelley Craft then suggests that the space would be better used as a study.

“Studies do not sell houses,” Sara rightly points out.

In apartment two, Hans and Courtney have crazily blocked their windows with a narrow small pantry.

“It’s a good size,” Shelley says, because it is after all the smallest pantry on The Block.

The last stop is Kerrie and Spence’s decked out kitchen.

It’s wall-to-wall expensive appliances and another massive pantry.

But they haven’t had a win in a while, so the pantry size is ignored, and they pick up the $10k — sliding into third place on the “walk through” leaderboard.

WHO WINS THE SCULPTURE CHALLENGE?

Hans and Courtney looked sure to win with their neon palm tree — after it’s revealed Neale has the same palm tattooed on his wrist.

“Neale you bikie,” Scotty purrs.

Jess and Norm are no chance — they made a chair when the brief was to design a creative sculpture.

And, surprisingly, it’s Hayden and Sara who win the battle of the metal potplants.

They take home $5000 for their efforts.

“I’m like a pig in mud,” Sara declares, although we don’t know why because she seemed to have nothing to do with their team sculpture.

Later we are shown scenes of the aftermath of their celebrations.
