De Bruyne was signed by Chelsea back in 2012 as an up-and-coming talent at Genk.

But he was never really given an opportunity in west London before being shipped out of the club two years later.

Hindsight at Chelsea couldn’t have foreseen the talent De Bruyne would soon become with the midfielder now an integral part of Manchester City’s title-chasing squad.

And in an interview with Copa90, Hazard was asked which player in the current Belgium squad would he want to join him at Chelsea and he was swift in his response.

“Kevin De Bruyne,” he said.

De Bruyne was sold by Jose Mourinho at Chelsea in 2014 and, after gaining experience in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, has now become one of the world’s best midfielders with City.

When Hazard was reminded of the fact Chelsea let the 26-year-old go, he was pressed to give another answer.

And he clearly feels the midfield area is one Chelsea could see some improvements.

“Go on, I’ll give another one – Radja Nainggolan,” said Hazard. “He’s good, he’s good.”

The Roma star has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the past with Manchester United also long-time admirers.
