Bargain supermarket Aldi has a number of stores across the nation, and the company is looking to fill more than a few positions. From Apprenticeships to Store Managers – Aldi is offering some excellent perks as well as incredible salaries for a variety of jobs. Even those on an apprenticeship will start on a fabulous wage – which only increases in years two and three. Meanwhile, those applying for the Store Assistant roles will find they’d have a salary to rival some of Aldi’s competitors.

Here is all the information on the jobs Aldi is currently advertising for and their astounding pay packets.

Apprenticeship

Aldi is looking to fill apprenticeships in stores nationwide, with applications closing on 3rd February.

The job description for the apprenticeship roles reads: “Whether you choose Store or Logistics Management, you’ll be given a competitive salary (starting at £6.00 per hour) and a supportive environment where you can learn from the very best.

“After the three-year scheme, you’ll have the perfect springboard to a successful career in retail.”

After starting on a salary of £6 per hour, the rate will raise to £7.50 in year two and £8.90 in year three.

Applicants only need Maths and English Grades A to C, and “an attitude and desire to do well”.

Store Manager

The job description for Store Manager reveals the employee will land an impressive salary of £44,890, which rises to £58,540 after just four years.

And for those working in stores within the M25 they will receive a minimum bonus of £2,000.

However, the hours are 48 per week and also includes weekends.

The description explains: “Our Managers need shed loads of energy, great ideas, and a good mix of ambition and character. After all, it’s your personality that will set the tone of the whole store.”

It continues: “Importantly, you’ve managed teams of over eight people in the past and have experience with company property, sales figures and people performance.”

The bonuses of this role are even more appealing, with an attractive pension, five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, and private Employee Medical Insurance after six months.

Store Assistant

Aldi’s Store Assistants have a salary of £8.85 per hour and this later rises to £10.41.

For those working within the M25, your wage will begin at £10.20 and rise to £10.89.

You’ll also receive a flexible contract from 15 to 30 hours per week.

Store Assistants also receive 28 days of holiday, including bank holidays, and a good pension.

Assistant Store Manager

The supermarket’s Assistant Store Managers also receive an impressive wage, starting at £31,300 and rising to £38,170 after four years.

Again, this includes the minimum bonus of £2,000 for those working in stores within the M25, as well as an attractive pension, four weeks’ annual leave, full training, and private Employee Medical Insurance after four years.

The description summarises what Aldi is looking for for this role: “Already you’ve led a team of at least six people in a busy store environment. You’ve got the confidence and stamina to bring out the best in people and ensure that everyone knows what’s expected of the.”

Deputy Store Manager

Starting on a salary of £9.85 per hour, the Deputy Store Managers will also later have their pay increased to £11.41 per hour.
